the serpentine-sided top inset with a red leather writing surface and surrounded by a molded ormolu border, the removable three-quarter gallery with an ormolu rim, the curved frieze with two slightly recessed narrow drawers flanked by two pairs of bombé-fronted drawers fitted with voluted ormolu keyhole escutcheons incorporating handles, raised on cabriole legs fitted with pierced ormolu chutes continuing to pierced ormolu sabots cast with a cabochon; the front, gallery and bombé sides veneered to form diamond-shaped parquetry outlined with ormolu mounts cast with flowerheads, shell and wave motifs and foliage, the back fitted to match the front.
