the backrest with vertical splats, rectangular seat raised on tapered legs; outlined with molded brass borders and marked with roundels.

A virtually identical settee was in the Agnelli collection, sold, Sotheby's, New York, October 23, 2004, as part of lot 100 (with a pair of matching side chairs).  Another almost identical settee was at Tsarskoe Selo, illustrated, George Loukomski, The Palaces of Tsarskoe Selo, London, 1987, p. 91.
