a fabergé gilded silver, translucent enamel and wood double photograph frame, workmaster Johan Victor Aarne, St. Petersburg, 1899-1908

enameled translucent deep green over a guilloché ground and applied with neo-rococo silver scrollwork, shells and foliage, also applied with red hardstone cabochons, the lower section applied with the date in Cyrillic, "10th June, 1903," the elaborate silver strut formed as conjoined scrolls, marked on the strut with Cyrillic workmaster's  initials and 88 standard.
