- height 36 in.
- 96 cm
in the form of a celestial globe inlaid with signs of the zodiac and opening to reveal a fitted architectural interior concealing secret compartments and drawers, raised on curved ebonized supports above a star-shaped stretcher. One leg replaced.

Frederich Paulick executed a design for a similar table for Carl Schmidt's drawing room in Vienna, circa 1825, illustrated by Himmelheber, op. cit. pl. 8. Queen Charlotte purchased a table of this type as a birthday present for Princess Augusta in 1810 (see M. Jourdain, Regency Furniture, London, 1965, p. 71, fig. 152).
