  • 77 cm; 30 cm
each circular top outlined with ormolu beading, fluted tapered support carved with paterae raised on leaf-carved, fluted, angular tripod legs.

Catalogue Note

For a similar example see the trespolo illustrated in S. Levy, Il Mobile Veneziano del Settecento, Vol. II, Milan, 1964, pl. 289.  Venetian furniture was heavily influenced by foreign designs and the angular tripod supports appear to derive from Dutch prototypes.
