Description

- 78 cm; 130 cm; 74 cm
the serpentine-sided top inset with a leather writing surface, the frieze with two drawers, raised on cabriole legs; fitted with later foliate-cast ormolu handles, chutes and sabots. Re-veneered; bearing the stamp, I. Dubois JME.

A bureau plat also stamped by Dubois of virtually identical design and almost identical dimensions was with Maurice Segoura, Paris, illustrated in his catalogue, 1997. Slightly more elaborately mounted, it also incorporates foliate scrolls around the frieze.
