Catalogue Note

This highly unusual table clock is indicative of Fabergé’s wide ranging and inventive use of the various enameling techniques which were mastered by the firm at this period. The combination of translucent and cloisonné enameling, employed to great advantage on this clock, was only rarely used, and very few comparable examples are known.
