Description
- height 3 in. 7.6 cm
carved in the form of an apple, the brush in the form of the apple's stem and enameled translucent green, surmounted by a diamond, the base inset with a gold star enameled in black with the Imperial eagle below an Imperial crown and encircled with the blue enameled inscription in Cyrillic, `Polar Star,' marked with Cyrillic initials of workmaster and 56 standard.

Commissioned in 1891, the Imperial Yacht Polar Star was primarily in the service of the Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna.
