Description

  • height 43 in.; width 21 1/2 in.; length 6 ft. 4 3/4 in.
  • 109.2 cm; 54.6 cm; 194.9 cm
each padded serpentine backrest centered by a carved shell, the over-upholstered seat flanked by padded armrests on scrolled handholds carved with acanthus leaves, the downscrolled supports carved with roundels and bellflowers on a punched ground, the sides carved with imbrication, raised on tapered square legs headed by flowerheads, the waisted tops with fluting and continuing to bellflower carving on a punched ground, ending in square feet.  Differences, replacements, restorations and re-gilt.
