A Louis XV/XVI ormolu-mounted Chinese porcelain covered vase circa 1770 with later snake handles, the vase Chi'en Lung period

the domed pierced lid with an ormolu foliate plate and berried knop, the neck fitted with a deep gadrooned ormolu rim cast with entrelacs enclosing rosettes above beed-and-reel and a leaf cast border, the baluster-shaped vase fitted with berried grape, oak and laurel leaf swags and now fitted with intertwined serpent-shaped handles, raised on a leaf-cast ormolu base above scrolled feet cast with acanthus leaves.
