Couvent des Riches Clavies, by whom sold 12 September 1785 in Brussels, lot 142, as a result of the Suppression of the Monasteries, initiated by Emperor Joseph II, to Monsieur Claret of Brussels for 53 florins;
His sale, Brussels, Rue des Tinturiers, 2 June 1789, lot 4, where acquired by an amateur for 35 florins;
The painting was in the collection of La Comtesse Eugène d'Oultremont at the beginning of the 20th Century and was probably acquired by a member of her immediate family, the Van den Steen, in the 19th Century.
His sale, Brussels, Rue des Tinturiers, 2 June 1789, lot 4, where acquired by an amateur for 35 florins;
