We are grateful to Prof. Nicola Spinosa for confirming the attribution to Giordano, based on firsthand inspection. Spinosa suggested that this is an early work by Giordano when he is still very much influenced by the work of Titian and Rubens. Another version of the composition is in the collection of Bob Jones University.
