We are grateful to Prof. Lino Moretti who, on the basis of photographs, has confirmed the present painting to be by Ricci. He notes that the style and handling in the present painting is similar to another work depicting a Winter Landscape by Ricci in the Gemaeldegalerie in Dresden (Inv. 557).
