Mostly known as a Leidse Fijnschilder Ary de Vois studied under Nicolaes Knüpfer (ca. 1609-1655) in Utrecht and Abraham van den Tempel (1622/3-1672) in Leiden. Only two other landscapes are recorded at the R.K.D., The Hague.
