Description
- Andrea Boscoli

Catalogue Note
Characteristic of Boscoli in the use of wash and in the charming figures, this drawing resembles a group of illustrations by the artist of stories from Ovid's Metamorphoses, which are of the same size and format and similarly inscribed (see Christel Thiem, Florentiner Zeichner des Frühbarock, Munich 1977, pls. 50, 51; p. 299). The subject of this drawing does not, however, seem to come from Ovid.
