This drawing has been compared with a Bacchanale by Saint-Aubin, signed and dated 1779, in the Kupferstichkabinett, Berlin (see P. Wescher, 'Les Mâitres français du XVIII siècle au cabinet des dessins de Berlin', Gazette des Beaux-Arts, 1934, p. 352, fig. 2, p. 355).
