Catalogue Note
George Keyes dates this drawing to the late 1620s, and compares the handling of the trees in particular with two drawings from a series of the Twelve Months, dated 1629, which are now in the Rijksprentenkabinet, Amsterdam (inv.no. A122) and in the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge (inv.no. PD 776-1963; see Keyes, op. cit., cat. nos. D132 and D152).
