Catalogue Note

Passat was a four-masted steel barque built in 1911 by Blohm & Voss, Hamburg.  She was rigged with royal sails over double top and topgallant sails.  She weighed 3091 tons.  In the year in which the present work was painted Passat was sold to Gustav Erikson, of Mariehamn, Finland.
