18k, rhodium plated lever movement stamped with the seal of Geneva (Cal. 27-70 CHR) , 24 jewels, gyromax balance, adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 8 positions, black matte dial with applied gold Arabic numerals, two subsidiary guilloche sunk dials indicating constant seconds and 30-minute registers, inner ring calibrated for tachometer, outer ring divided into 1/5 second, gold leaf hands, large polished circular case with stepped bezel and square chronograph push buttons, water-resistant type screw-down sapphire crystal display back, case, dial and movement signed, with an 18k  yellow gold Patek Philippe deployant buckle.

Production of Ref. 5070 started in 1998, with only 90 examples produced in 1998 and 250 examples produced in 1999.
