18k, rhodium plated lever movement (27SC) stamped twice with the seal of Geneva, 18 jewels, mono-metallic compensation balance, precision regulator, adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, silvered matte dial with applied white gold faceted numerals, outer minute ring, center sweep seconds, white gold faceted hands, large circular case with flat polished bezel, satin finished sides and down-turned lugs, case, dial and movement signed.
Provenance
The accompanied Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives confirms this watch was manufactured in 1964 and its subsquent sale on 25th June 1968.
Catalogue Note
Production of the oversized reference 570 began in 1938 with a subsidiary seconds model. A year later, in 1939, a centre sweep seconds version was introduced. The present example offered at auction is a highly desirable Patek Philippe reference for both its large size and white gold case and is presented in outstanding condition.
