gilt lever movement, 31 jewels, glucydur balance, 18k gold rotor with engraving, adjusted to 5 positions, silvered dial with Roman numerals, two subsidiary sunk guilloche dials for constant seconds at 6 and 30-minute register at 12, platinum leaf, baton and blued steel hands, inner bezel calibrated for chronograph seconds, large circular polished and satin-finished platinum case with chronograph push buttons and down-turned lugs, sapphire crystal display case back secured by 4 screws, case, dial and movement signed, with a platinum IWC flip-lock deployant clasp.

IWC produced this special edition "Portuguese" automatic chronograph in 1999 adopting the historic face of the "Portuguese" wristwatch from the 1930's.  The series is limited to 100 pieces, with only 16 pieces in platinum worldwide.  This present example is in platinum and is numbered 28/100.
