Catalogue Note
The name of "Master Compressor" comes from the patented compression key system on its crown that allows for the most effective resistance. Designed by Magali Metrailler, this rare platinum "Master Compressor Geographic" was produced in a very limited series of only 10 pieces especially for Singapore Airlines (SIA) in 2004. In addition to all the functionality and design features of the "Master Compressor Geographic" standard model, the timepieces in this limited edition bear the distinctive logo of SIA on the dial, the city of Singapore on the travel time zone disc at GMT+8, and a special seal on the case back in 18k pink gold. The current example is numbered 3 and it also represents the first example to have appeared at auction.
