The Macosky Autograph Albums (2) incl. Ruth, Gehrig, Wagner, Einstein, Chaplin...

Contained within these two c. 1930’s albums is the autograph collection of Arthur Macoskey. A perusal of the pages within reveals a series of names that reads like a Who's Who in American society during the era. The smaller of the two albums focuses on entertainers with 22 signed pages including: Gary Cooper, Mary Pickford, Bette Davis (secretarial), Edgar Bergen, Harpo Marx, Janet Gaynor, Irving Berlin, and Alice Faye. The second, and significantly more comprehensive album includes 51 different autographed pages featuring many significant rarities. Included are; Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Eleanor Roosevelt, Albert Einstein, Charlie Chaplin, Elliot Ness, Spencer Tracy, Mickey Rooney, Hank Greenberg, Connie Mack, Jack Dempsey, Bing Crosby, Honus Wagner, and Bob Feller. Hellen Keller and Walter Rauschenbrisk are secretarial signed. Many of the autographs are accompanied by interesting salutations, with some of the signature pages having period "cellophane" over top that is removable from the page if so desired not affecting the signatures.
