Wilt Chamberlain’s 100 Point Game Ticket Stub, Program & Wire Photo

Description
On December 8, 1961, 7-foot-1 Wilt Chamberlain scored 78 points for the Philadelphia Warriors in a triple overtime game. It was a new NBA record, but Warriors coach Frank McGuire didn't expect it to last long, saying, "He'll get 100 points someday." McGuire's prediction came true just a few months later in a game against the New York Knicks at Hershey, Pennsylvania where the Warriors played a few games each year. A meager crowd of 4,124 turned out on March 2, 1962, partially to see a preliminary game between players from two NFL teams, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Baltimore Colts. But what those in that small half-filled arena would remember forever was the greatest individual scoring performance in NBA history. Two incredibly scarce artifacts from that historic event are offered here in the form of an original game program and ticket stub. Both exhibit slight wear. The stub has been deemed “Authentic” and encapsulated by PSA. Complimenting the pair is an original wire photo of Wilt captured during the game.
