Catalogue Note
Luigi Mascelli (circa 1770-1825), son of Giuseppe Mascelli and Marianna Betti, became master in 1804, living and working until his death at 90 and 91 Piazza di Spagna in Rome. He was the father of Giovanni Andrea and Giovacchino Mascelli, both of whom also specialised in mounting mosaic snuff boxes.
