Catalogue Note

Only ten examples of this chair from the master's early organic phase were produced.  Eight of these chairs were stripped of their original fruit-based colors, and only two chairs survive with their original paint.  Kjærholm gave one in orange to his brother, and the present example in lemon to his sister. 

 A unique upholstered version of this chair, with the shell made of two pieces of aluminum, is part of the permanent collection at the Centre George Pompidou, Paris.
