6-inch dial with oriental mask and leaf spandrels, foliate engraved centre with mock pendulum aperture, the arch with a silvered and painted moon disc below an arc signed Samuel Shepley, Stockport, the fusee movement with five knopped pillars, bell striking, reinstated verge escapement and repeating the quarters on six bells , the backplate engraved with leaf scrolls and applied with a plaque signed Shepley, Stockport, inverted bell top case with brass carrying handle, scale side frets and mask frets in the door
