the two-train bell striking movement with anchor escapement and altered suspension with later sun mask pendulum driving two horizontal chapter rings applied with enamel plaques, the open movement surmounted by flowers trailing from a basket, raised on a rectangular platform supported on square-section fluted columns with cone finials and draped with ribbon-tied berried laurel, the breakfront marble base enclosed by balustrades and containing a pedestal on which sit two doves, the front applied with an enamel plaque signed in pink Baillon A Paris within a leaf mounted gilt frame, the corners with leaf cast paterae and raised on toupie feet
