12½-inch dial with chrub and leaf spandrels signed Bancroft of Stockport, 249, with ringed winding holes, engraved calendar aperture and seconds dial, the original added arch of cast and pierced brass depicting two trumpeting winged putti holding a basket of fruit amongst scrolling foliage, the bell striking movement with ring-turned knopped pillars and inside count wheel, the case with broken-arch moulded cornice above stopped frets, stop-fluted hood pillars with carved capitals, the trunk door of quarter-cut wood inset with a lenticle, the plinth with unusual shaped apron
