ENAMEL, GEM-SET AND DIAMOND VANITY CASE, CIRCA 1930

The hinged rectangular case centering on a gem-set scenery, edged by circular-cut diamonds and four calibré-cut sapphires, to a black enamel and lapis lazuli background of geometric pattern extending to the back, with lapis lazuli thumbpieces, opening to reveal a fitted mirror, two covered compartments and a lipstick case, mounted in 18 karat gold.
