- 67.5cm. high, 56cm. wide; 2ft. 2 1/2 in., 1ft. 10in.
the rectangular plate within a scalloped surround worked in polychrome stump work and needlework depicting Old Testament Biblical scenes, from the Story of Moses (Exodus), for example the finding of Moses, the burning bush, set within landscape settings, the sides with standing female figures, one holding a child, with a rose and carnation above and a parrot and peacock below, interspersed with further flowers, purl work trees, foliage, and insects, the lower corners with a lion and a stag respectively, all on cream silk ground, the inner and outer edges with gold metal braid, the reverse backed in faded red velvet with original hook and easel support
