Kramer Amsterdam, foliate pierced hands, subsidiary seconds and apertures for date, day of the week, month and moonphase, a polychrome painted theatrical opening below flanked by Chronos and Minerva revealing a seascape with six ships rocking on a choppy sea connected to the going train of the movement with anchor escapement and trip repeating rack Dutch quarter striking on two bells, burr walnut veneered case with shaped hood surmounted by a gilt wood atlas and two angels, the break arch moulded cornice with a carved shell ornament and trailing garlands and foliate pierced wood front and side frets, the glazed door flanked by brass capped corner columns, canted trunk and base with chequered inlaid banding, long waisted door with Chronos lenticle, the whole raised on claw feet
