A small French Louis XIV boulle inlaid quarter repeating bracket timepiece, Antoine Gaudron, Last quarter 17th century

13-cm brass relief ornate dial with blue cartouche Roman numerals and outer minute marking signed Gaudron, shaped and engraved steel hands, similarly signed movement with shaped plates and baluster pillars converted to anchor escapement, pull repeating quarter striking on three bells, missing silk suspended pendulum, boulle inlaid case with foliate mounts throughout surmounted by a putto with a dog, arched glazed door with later pierced mount, the whole raised on scroll feet, together with a matching ogee shaped bracket
