Catalogue Note

Robert Jocelyn was the son of Richard Jocelyn and his wife, Joyce Arkinson.  In 1619 he married Bridget Smith.  He served as Sheriff of Hertfordshire 1645-47.  He was succeeded by his son, Robert, who was created a baronet in 1665.
