287 leaves, 11 lines per page of rayhani script in black ink, rosettes between verses in colours and gold, frontispiece with illuminated panels bearing text within hatched clouds highlighted with trios of blue dots, headings in white thuluth against a blue ground with scrolling foliate motif and flanked by lotus flowers against red ground, sura headings in gold thuluth with vocalisation in blue, final folio with colophon recording date of completion on 26 Dhu'l Qa'da 818, contemporary brown morocco binding
