Catalogue Note

Conceived before 1914, the bronze edition was cast from 1918 to 1932 by Hébrard who purchased the plaster model in 1918.  Hébrard cast 46 examples in bronze, numbered 1 to 10 and A1 - A10 through D1 - D10.  The present example, 29th in the edition, was cast on April 20, 1928.
