Catalogue Note

The view of Hampstead Heath (above) was executed in 1919 and is probably that work listed on p.7 of Ginner's notebooks. If this is the case, the drawing was illustrated at the Allied Artist's Assocation (Grafton Gallery) in July 1919 and at the Adelphi Gallery the same summer. The view of Hampstead rooftops (left) may be 'Hampstead Roofs. Frost' (1923) listed on p.121 of Ginner's notebooks. If this is the case, it was exhibited at the Goupil Gallery, Watercolours by Charles Ginner in 1924 and at the London Group in the Spring of 1924.
