Catalogue Note

Born in Folkestone, Kent, Wirth-Miller was self-taught and exhibited in London with the Lefevre, Redfern and Beaux-Arts Galleries. He was a good friend of Francis Bacon's and they shared a flat or studio together for a brief period in the 1950s.
