Catalogue Note

According to the artist this work was painted in 1952.  It is a scene outside the Royal Bombay Yatch Club as seen from the Taj Mahal Hotel. During the 1950’s and early 1960’s the ship is a recurring symbol in Jehangir Sabavala’s work.
