Catalogue Note

Two other very comparable drawings by Van Bloemen, one probably showing the same dog, are in Munich (Staatliche Graphische Sammlung, inv.no. 2090) and in Otterlo (Rijksmuseum Kröller-Müller, inv. no. 262 KL1).  According to information from the late Professor Dr. I.Q. van Regteren Altena, a repetition of this drawing is in Vienna, (Albertina, inv. no. 8761).
