  • 17.8 cm
of fluted helmet form with square base and loop handle, engraved below spout with script initials JD within an oval suspended from a ribbon, marked on base rim  Revere (Kane mark B).

Catalogue Note

A fluted cream pot of this model but engraved with drapery swags forms part of the tea service ordered by John Templemen in 1792-93 (Minneapolis Insitute of Arts, illustrated Puig et al. no. 221, pp. 272-3).  Another example, also engraved, was sold Christie's, New York, June 2, 1990, lot 86.
