Catalogue Note

A tentative attribution to an as yet unidentified artist working in Valencia during the 16th century, known as El Maestro de la Santa Cena, has been proposed by Carlos Soler d'Hyver, who compares the present picture to a work given to the artist in the Town Hall in Valencia.
