Catalogue Note

German artist Wilhelm Barth studied in the Royal Porcelain Manufactory in Berlin between 1796 and 1803. After working extensively in the Baltic Provinces, he turned his attention to St. Petersburg where he created meticulous views of the city and its inhabitants.
