This composition is known in at least three other versions; one, of smaller dimensions, in the Fogg Art Museum, Cambridge (Mass.), inv. no. 1943. 118 (See T. Pignatti, Pietro Longhi, Venice 1968, p. 86, reproduced fig. 250); a second, of inferior quality, formerly in Palazzo Giovanelli, Venice (for which see A. Ravà, Pietro Longhi, Florence 1923, p. 102, reproduced); and a third, apparently the best, in the Aldo Crespi collection, Milan.
