Catalogue Note
Friedrich Wilhelm, known as the "Grosse Kurfürst", succeeded his father George Wilhelm as Elector in 1640. He married, firstly in 1646, Louise Henriette, Princess of Orange-Nassau (1627-1667), and secondly Dorothea, Duchess of Schleswig-Holstein-Sondenburg (1636-1689).
