These refined compositions, previously unpublished, are an important addition to the artist's oeuvre. They are to be included in the forthcoming monograph on Prospero Fontana currently in preparation by Profssa. Vera Fortunati Pierantonio, who dates the works to the seventh decade of the 16th century.
