Probably Mrs Elizabeth Tilson (died 1840);
Probably Sir Thomas Tilson, of 29 Coleman Street, The City of London, and of South Road House, Clapham Park, Surrey;
By inheritance in 1874 to his wife Dame Maria Tilson;
By descent in 1892 to her nephew-in-law, Tilson Lee Esq.;
By descent to Mrs Ada Hester Lee, Westfield House, Lewis, Sussex (died 1924);
By descent to her grand-daughter, the late Mrs Patricia Rosamund Landon Lee.

Catalogue Note

This is very similar to early works by Gysels, when he was strongly influenced by Jan Brueghel the Elder.
