Catalogue Note

The painting is sold with a photocopy of a certificate of authenticity, dated 1949 from Dr. Robert Eigenberger of the Akademie der Bildenden Kunste in Vienna, in which he states that Bernard Berenson has published this work as Palmezzano in one of his catalogues. To date we have not been able to find this publication.
