Professor David Marshall (see Literature) dates this work by Viviano Codazzi to the early 1660s and no later than 1663. Although Briganti (see Literature) considered the staffage to be by Pandolfo Reschi, Marshall has convincingly attributed the figures to the lesser known figure painter Vicente Giner.
