Etching, 1868, fifth (final) state, with the additional star above grass at right, printing with rich tone, from an edition of 350 on laid paper (there were a further 2 or 3 impressions on parchment and a few on chine appliqué), published in Sonnets et Eaux -fortes by Lemerre, Paris, 1869, on laid paper, with wide margins, a small paper loss and a short tear at right edge of sheet, pale light-staining; with la gardeuse d'oies and la bouillie (d.16 and 17), two etchings, only state and fourth state (of five) respectively, the first printing with rich burr, on various papers, with margins, in good condition apart from d.16 with pale light-staining and d.17 with pale glue stains along edges (3)
